I am an intelligent, organized, professional and efficient individual with experience fixing computers, general administrative duties (i have experience filing FEMA flood maps) painting, general clerical / administrative assistance, and cleaning duties and would like to know if there is anyone I can help. I love the Jersey Shore dearly, and it happens that Stone Harbor (where my family owns a home and has vacationed for generations) was spared by the Grace of God during Hurricane Sandy, and would like to know if there is anyone is less fortunate areas that needs help rebuilding, cleaning or organizing volunteer efforts. I am available to volunteer after 6pm M-F, and am available ALL DAY on weekends to provide free volunteer help to those in need, I have a valid NJ drivers license and car, as well as 8 years of executive assistant experience and am fluent in Spanish as well as English, and have no qualms about assisting in cleaning up debris, repainting, lifting <50 lbs, Please call me or email me if I can help restore the shore in any way. This Spring we are organizing a service trip for our students to volunteer their Spring Break to help those affected by Super Storm Sandy. There will be between 15-40 students joining us for this service trip. The trouble we are running into is finding housing and volunteer opportunites the trip. This trip will be occurring over our Spring break (Sunday, March 17th – Friday, March 22nd.) We are focusing the trip location on Tom’s River, NJ and the surrounding areas. I am reaching out to to various organizations to see if they know of any resources that could help with this.
